The children on my Year 1/2 placement loved this book (narrated youtube video). We started the scheme of work by looking at different hats and asking and answering questions about them, e.g. Who wears this hat? Why do they wear it? 

Activity ideas:  

Drama - what might Bear say when he realises Rabbit has his hat? What might Rabbit reply? Teacher in role as Bear and children ask questions about his life as a bear. 

Art - make your own special hats
