Activity ideas: 

Add text and speech to the pages of this wordless picture book. Start with drama to form ideas - Why does the Walrus want to escape the zoo? Pupil in role as Walrus, what is he thinking? Link to knowledge about animals, where do Walruses live? 

Give each table or group a spread from the book and speech bubbles to write their ideas for the Walrus and Zoo Keeper. Model the use of inverted commas and later remove the speech bubble scaffolds.
